"I'M IN THIS TOO"

"It isn’t just about me speaking up though, it is about you, and the next person, that will give the next one’s strength and hopefully give some direction and empowerment to someone in one of these situations... I am reaching out to everyone to please support this cause in any way that you can, even if it is behind the power of your word. I’m in this, too."  - Tae

mission

With complete vulnerability, Maggie Sue was written from a real experience that took place in the walls of a safe house. Tae is making it a mission of her own to shed more light on the topics of domestic abuse and the resources in which victims may utilize. Tae has decided to donate all proceeds of her first ever, released song to a safe house for the domestically abused in Green Bay, Wisconsin, called The Golden House.

Maggie sue

Pretty girl with the little blonde curls,

Your weary eyes have come too soon.

Your heavy heart has come so young,

Much too large for a size like you

I’m in this too,

Rest your eyes of blue,

Lay your head on my knee

As I sing you to sleep,

Maggie Sue

Stuck in a safe house,

Hiding from a monster that wasn’t under your bed,

You’re askin’ mommy, “Where is dad?”

But mommy’s pain won’t let her answer that

You’re too young for this,

You’re too young for that,

Mommy, where’s her dad?

You have sullen eyes,

And you’re only five,

I,

I’m in this too,

Rest your eyes of blue,

Lay your head on my knee

As I sing you to sleep,

Maggie Sue

I’m in this too,

Rest your eyes of blue,

Lay your head on my knee

As I sing you to sleep,

Maggie Sue
